Patient safety first: the founder's vision

2026-04-05 - 4 min read - Elihaki M. Y. Javan

APOTEKH is not trying to turn a pharmacy into a hospital system. It is designed to make common pharmacy work safer, clearer, and easier to audit.

The founder's view is simple: preventable harm should not be accepted as a cost of busy dispensing. The system should help pharmacists see risk earlier without slowing down every transaction.

That is why APOTEKH builds patient safety into every dispensing event from day one: allergy flags, active medication context, interaction alerts, and pharmacist override trails.

A community pharmacy does not need a hospital-grade electronic medical record to reduce common dispensing risk. It needs the right signal at the right moment.

The privacy model is part of the safety model. If patient identity is mishandled, the system creates a new risk while trying to solve another.

The founder's vision is practical: make the safer action easier to take, preserve the override trail, and help the patient receive safer care.
